Sports day and picnic by KCA UK 4th June 2022
Manchester: KCAUK organized its sports day along with get-together on June 04, 2022, at Fog Lane Park Manchester. Nearly 25 Families of KCA UK living in and around of Manchester and Warrington gathered at Fog Lane Park for a day out.
KCA UK had this event well planned, the families started reaching the park at around 10.00 AM. In the morning, though there was a cool breeze, the sunshine boosted the picnic moods of the families, at this place whole of KCA UK had a happy family gathering and placed the marquee in the camping area. This gave a common point to meet. Since it was Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend, which is a celebration of the historic 70-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II, to mark this historical event, a Union Jack flag was placed in the marquee.
The Picnic activities started with Yoga session from Diana Monis followed by a Zumba from Stephi Martis. The gathering was divided into four groups to play throw-ball for ladies and cricket for men. There were games for kids. Joseph Sequeira, Ronald Lobo, Santhosh Pinto, and Sonal Mendonca were responsible for conducting these games, winners were awarded with the prizes.
A delicious lunch was served at around 1.30 P.M. Thanks to Jyothi Mendonca, Diana Lobo, and Arshiya Pereira for effectively organising the Food.
The afternoon session was dominated with throw-ball and cricket finals followed by well-known Mangalorean rural games ‘Dog and the Bone’ and ‘Lagori’. Playing teams got the continuous support from the audience throughout the matches.
KCA UK sincerely thanks and remains grateful for everyone who worked hard, and all who dedicated themselves behind the scenes to make the event successful. It was just another fantastic day ‘Family Day’ for everyone at KCA UK.
